August 10th, 2013 – Sermon on “Thinking of God’s Love and Ours” by John Crisp

John Crisp’s sermon on “Thinking of God’s Love and Ours” focused on how God’s Love was essential, unfailing, and ever-present.  John gave a small test during the sermon where he posed 6 questions about loving God and following His commandments to the audience.  We all failed in some way.

JohnCrispJohn used many scriptures that he didn’t give a reference for, but used these also: Ps. 23, Lam. 2:22-23, Jer. 31:20, 1 Cor. 13:1-3, 4-8, 1 John 4:1-12.

    John,
Nice job. As I told you earlier, delightful sermon in that it sharpened me and gave me food for the next week.

  2. John Crisp says:

Thanks Jeff for the encouragement and I am glad you took something home with you.

  3. Gladys McCoy says:

    John,
Guess you are on your trip now, but wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed your sermon Sabbath. When we begin to realize the great love God has for us, who don’t deserve it, we stand amazed. Our love for Him is woefully weak, at its best. The wonder of it all is that He desires our love above all else we could offer Him. What a Savior! Have a great trip. We will be missing you but pray for a grand vacation for the both of you. Give our love to all . . . .
    Gladys
