June 27th, 2015 – Sermon on “Masterpiece?” by Erik Dunn

Erik used the story of a famous painting purchased at a second hand sale to illustrate his point and examined whether we were works in progress or otherwise. He gave us examples of how to view the concept of masterpiece.

Erik used the following scriptures: Eph. 2:10, Duet. 7:6, Phil 1:6, Ex. 1:3 and 19:5

January 17th, 2015 – Sermon on “Under Pressure” by Erik Dunn

Erik Dunn’s sermon on “Under Pressure” centered around the daily pressures Christians face, the reasons for the stress and some ways to avoid stress. Erik used examples from Jesus’ life when different factions wanted Him to become what they envisioned the Savior to be.

November 16th, 2013 – Sermon on “Beyond Grace” by Eric Dunn

Erik Dunn croppedEric Dunn’s sermon on “Beyond Grace” focused on the story of the prodigal son. He started with a video clip of a modern-day version of the prodigal son and his father and moved on to pointing out the older son’s attitude, comparing the Pharisees in the local audience Jesus was speaking to with the old son. A couple of notable quotes are ” We never outgrow Grace” and “We never move beyond Grace”.

October 27, 2012 – Sermon on “You got my back?” by Erik Dunn

Erik Dunnn’s sermon “You got my back?” was also formally named “Community of Accountability”. This sermon explored ways to link with other persons to provide feedback into our lives that otherwise wouldn’t happen. Erik gave examples of his own accountability and the benefits. He used David’s taking of Bathsheba to illustrate how lack of accountability can be deadly.  Eric used the following scriptures:Rom. 12:10, 15:14, Gal. 5:14, Eph. 4:2,32, Col. 3:15, 1 Thes. 5:11, Heb. 10:24, 2 Sam 11:1-4
