June 21st, 2014 – Sermon on “Amazing Grace” by Tony Riggs

Tony Riggs’ sermon on “Amazing Grace” started with the essence of the song Amazing Grace by analyzing the title and then proceeded through the song with Tony adding in parts that impressed him. Tony reviewed the life of John Newton and the events that molded him into the author of the song.

Tony Riggs’ sermon on “Stairway to Heaven” was in large part his testimony about his accident falling from a ladder while trimming a tree. After 6 months, he has been released as repaired. Tony used the stairway analogy along with ladders to make his points. Notable quotes are: “Who’s holding your ladder?”, “Timing is everything” and “Hire a tree guy”.

August 24th, 2013 – Sermon on “A little CAD work” by Tony Riggs

Tony Riggs sermon on “A little CAD work” used examples of his working with CAD/CAM software and how it relates to the spiritual life. Tony used a CAD drawing of the Conroe church building to develop thoughts on how the church could grow. The sermon ended with a viewing of a video clip featuring the recorded sounds radio telescopes made of various stars and the sounds of whales. These were blended together and used to demonstrate how the universe praises God.

May 18, 2013 sermon on “This is my Bible” by Tony Riggs

Tony Riggs’ sermon on “This is my Bible” started as he related a story about a childhood Bible he has kept through the years and developed the theme of how our Bibles are personal to us.  Tony brought in favorite scriptures and focused on John 3. His main points about the Bible were: 1. Don’t take my word for it, 2. Follow the bible and literally let it lead you through the scriptures, 3. Let it inspire us everyday.
