Bill Gilbert’s sermon actually was untitled but “Your salvation moment” seemed appropriate. Bill started with the concept of baptism and continued with the new life in Christ. He focused on our understanding of the “salvation moment” so that we can use it when relating our experience to others and then focused on what being alive in Christ means as a power to make a difference while we are alive.

Bill used the following scriptures: Rom. 6:1-14, 5-19, 4:21, 8:9-11, 1 Thes. 5:24, 2 Thes. 3:3

Bill Gilbert is a member of the Galena Park COG7 and was speaking by invitation.

Mar. 10, 2012 – Sermon on “Desiring God” by Bill Gilbert

Bill Gilbert’s sermon “Desiring God” started with a request by Bill to be merciful to him when critiquing his sermon. At the time, he didn’t know there was a blog with potential comments about the sermon which turned out to cover three aspects of the general subject: 1. Why do we desire God?, 2. Hope is the reason we desire God and 3: Hope is the salvation of our souls.  He used the following scriptures: 1 Pt. 1:3-9, 1 Cor. 15:20.
