March 3, 2013 – Sermon on “Your salvation moment” by Bill Gilbert

Bill Gilbert’s sermon actually was untitled but “Your salvation moment” seemed appropriate. Bill started with the concept of baptism and continued with the new life in Christ. He focused on our understanding of the “salvation moment” so that we can use it when relating our experience to others and then focused on what being alive in Christ means as a power to make a difference while we are alive.

Bill used the following scriptures: Rom. 6:1-14, 5-19, 4:21, 8:9-11, 1 Thes. 5:24, 2 Thes. 3:3

Bill Gilbert is a member of the Galena Park COG7 and was speaking by invitation.

    Bill,
Thanks for bringing our attention to the salvation moment. Indeed, one of the most important events of our lives. I appreciate the effort you made to bring this sermon to us.

    Bill,
Several years ago, I was challenged to memorize Romans 6 and Romans 8. This is undoubtedly the best investment of my time that I could have made. Your sermon captured the essense of those texts. Thank you for reminding us of the golden nuggets in these scriptures, especially as they concern our salvation moment. Several of our speakers have reminded us of the value of using that moment in our ministering to others. You also built on that concept. We need to experience what we are talking about, as you told us. Thanks for speaking to us. . . enjoyed having your family here, too.
