The first is “with” Christ. “With” represents being identified with Jesus. We are crucified and made alive with Christ. The second is “in” Christ. “In” represents the blessings we have received from Jesus because of His sacrifice. We are a new person in Christ.

April 11th, 2020- Sermon on “Anchored In Hope” by Paul Pedersen

The sermon is described as: We continue our series of Faith, Hope, and Love. Today’s topic is on hope. Hope is an expectation in God’s Word. Faith and hope are connected in that faith is believing in God and His Word, and hope is the expectation that comes from that belief. Just like we need to wait on the laid with our faith, hope can help us to wait on him. Of course, that is just one blessing that hope gives, there are many more shown in scripture. Today, begin to operate in both faith and hope.

Paul describes the sermon as:  In Isaiah 40, the Lord God is likened unto a shepherd. He is a shepherd that cares about His people. God is still that same shepherd today, and He cares about us and our problems. He is a strong and powerful God who can handle any problem that we face, and we can put our confidence in Him. Yet, God is sovereign. He works in His time and in His way. As we trust in the Lord, we need to remember to wait on Him and not be in so much of a hurry that we missing God’s blessings.
