January 10th, 2015 – Sermon on “Elijah’s God: The same yesterday, today and tomorrow” by Alex Del Toro

Alex Del Toro’s sermon on “Elijah’s God: The same yesterday, today and tomorrow” was a comparison between the God of the Old Testament and the God of the New Testament. Alex used Elijah’s confrontation with Ahab to illustrate his points that included how we love the New Testament God and Alex Del Torowonder about the Old Testament God. A notable quote is ” It’s the same God and He loves richly and deeply”.

Alex used the following scriptures:  1 Kings 18:1-39, Rom. 5:8

    Alex Del Toro,

We certainly enjoyed your sermon, Alex. We, too, have become uneasy about the way in which the Sabbath has been observed. Even though we would fight for the Commandment to keep the Sabbath Holy, we find that especially the younger people don’t understand the great gift God has given to us in the joy we find in the Sabbath. Thanks for contrasting the Old Testament with the New Testament and showing that they are both the same in God’s sight. May God bless you and your family. . .
