Jeff Kendrick’s sermon on “Hearing from God” or “Spiritual Resonance” was about the mechanics of hearing from God, following the process from prayer to God’s response. Jeff included ways to enhance the process and listed the reasons we don’t hear from God. Special emphasis was given Acts 10 and the part prejudice plays in our lives.
Jeff used the following scriptures: Eph. 1:15-19, Rom. 8:28, Luke 19:37-40, Daniel 12:4 + 9, 1 Samuel 3:1-10, Matt. 13:10-17, Acts 10:1-48, Matt. 5:7-8

Jeff,
Thank you for your inspiring words about “Hearing from God.” I must share with you the blessing I get from writing letters to God. There is something about putting my prayers in written form when I am particularly distressed, or I am searching for the answer to a problem, when the written word helps me to feel God’s presence.
I appreciated the encouragement that I have come to expect from your words. God is surely using you and Jeana, and I thank Him for that. I really do agree that the answer to our prayers sometimes takes a long time, sometimes a lifetime. God teaches us patience as we wait on Him. What a wonderful God we serve!
