Paul PedersenPaul Pedersen’s sermon on “Responding to God’s Passion” started with the book of Zechariah and the way God reached out to Israel. The sermon moved on to the Grace that we have today. Paul used scriptures to emphasize God’s passion for His people in both the Old and New Testaments.

Some notable quotes were: “Listen to God’s Word!”, “We are to open our hearts to others”, and “How are we going to respond to God’s passion?”

Paul used the following scriptures: Zech. 1:2-4, 7:8-14, 8:1-17, 8:2, Rom. 3:23, 5:8, 10:9-11, Acts 2:41+, Prov. 4:20-22, Ps. 119:10-11 + 105-106, 145:13, Micah 6:8, Matt. 1228, John 14: 2-3

    Paul,

    I don’t believe that I have heard a sermon about the Passion of Jesus. As you noted, there is a lot about his Loving Passion for all of us. To realize that God loves us with such intensity is an overwhelming truth. Thank you for reminding us of His great Love!
