Paul Pedersen’s sermon on “Growing Fruit” is described by him as: I am continuing the series: Following Christ. In this message, I will be looking at the words of Jesus about trees with good and bad fruit. Jesus says, “the tree is known by its fruit.” We are to be like healthy trees producing good fruit. What comes out of us reflects what is inside our heart. Jesus says, “out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks.” That overflow comes from the treasury of our heart. A treasury holds what is put into it. What are we putting into our treasury. The Apostle Peter teaches us, we are to “grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” So, we should fill our hearts with God’s Word and Spirit. Our words and actions will reflect what we fill our treasury with.

There is much in the Bible about growing fruit. It is definitely our task to be sure that the fruit that we are growing is the best fruit. Thank you for sharing the Gospel with us, as we continue to find the best ways that we can share the Word. It does not seem to take any strength to grow the bad fruit. It seems to be a natural way of mankind, but that is not the fruit that satisfies, nor the Holy Spirit’s direction in our lives.
