Pastor Paul describes his message as: In this message, we will look at the life of Samson. Samson was super strong like a superhero. His power came from the Spirit of God. Yet, Samson had a super weakness. His weakness was that he gave into his passions and desires again and again. Yet, God used that to accomplish His own purposes. The story of Samson is actually a tragic one. Samson made wrong choices which ultimately took his freedom, his sight, and his great power away from him. In the end, his choices took his very life. As we consider Samson, it is important to understand where our strength come from. It comes from God’s Spirit. We should be careful to not lose sight of this. It is also important that we understand that Samson is not an example of how we should live. A true follower of Jesus will obey His word and follow His commands. A true follower of Jesus, will have spiritual fruit growing in their life. We need to die to ourselves that we may truly know the power of Christ. May mercy, peace, and love be multiplied to you.
Paul used the following scriptures: Hebrews 11:32; Judges 13:1, 24-25; Judges 14:1, 14, 19; Judges 15:14-15, 19-20; Judges 16:16, 20, 28

Paul,
I thoroughly enjoyed your sermon about Samson. There were so many lessons we can take from Samson regarding our lives. His greatest weakness was his false dependence on his own strength instead of depending on the Holy Spirit. We, of course, find this very problem with our lives when we begin to think more highly of ourselves than we ought to. Thank you for this series of sermons about the judges. How like them we are!
Blessings on you and your family. . .
