Pastor Paul describes the sermon as: In Paul’s letter to Timothy, Paul gives teaches us about discipleship. He shows us what it means to be a disciple. Here is one who is alive to Christ, is faithful to Him, and endures to the end. Paul shows us that to grow as a disciple, one must pursue discipleship with the study of scripture. Studying the word of God is important for our spiritual development. The important thing here is the quality of our character refined by God’s word and Spirit. Paul then shows us how a disciple sets themselves apart from unrighteousness. A disciple is like a flower garden. Weeding is important for healthy growth.
The following scriptures were used: 2 Timothy 2:11-26
