Pastor Paul describes this sermon as: The Apostle Paul was aware of the struggles within himself. There was a battle in which sin constantly tried to sink its claws into his soul. Paul points out that the Law which was righteously given by God served to point out this sin in our lives. Humanity lies to itself about this sin: that we can control it and overcome it. Yet, Paul points out that we have a source of victory of sin: Jesus Christ our Lord!
Paul used the following scripture: Romans 7:14-25

Thanks for the sermon, Paul. It had direct bearing on one of the basic challenges every Christian faces, yet there is not a lot preaching dedicated to it. The Apostle Paul knew himself and was honest in his description of the difference between the spirit and the flesh. Honesty in self evaluation is critical to arriving at realistic solutions to problems. Like Paul, we can live in the Spirit while resisting the inevitable desires of the flesh.
Paul,
Thank you for the sermon that you gave to us last Sabbath. It was food for thought, and something that we can think on and enjoy for many weeks.
May we all be drawn nearer to the Cross! God bless you and your family!
