John Brann’s sermon “It’s just not convenient” started with a historic look at how and why the church changed from the 7th day to the 1st day for the Sabbath. He continued with common reasons not to keep the Sabbath on the 7th day. He stressed that our relationship with God is the important thing, not keeping the ordinances. John used the following scriptures: Heb. 4:1 + 18-16. John also treated us to a video from Sarah Draget in Australia. She sang a song detailing the history of the Sabbath.

John,
John,
Sorry we missed your message, John. Ken has a bad cold, so we felt it would be best to stay home. However, because of Jeff’s kindness in providing the sermon on this sermonblog, I was able to hear your talk. Really enjoyed your thoughts on the Sabbath, as well as the very pretty song at the end.
The Sabbath is a great blessing to me. It has always been a very special day in my week. . . even as we enjoy the quiet beauty it provides in our busy lives. I, too, am concerned that we preserve the sanctity of the day. Thanks, John, for your effort and dedication. Blessings on you and yours. . . Gladys
