Eric Dunn’s sermon on “Beyond Grace” focused on the story of the prodigal son. He started with a video clip of a modern-day version of the prodigal son and his father and moved on to pointing out the older son’s attitude, comparing the Pharisees in the local audience Jesus was speaking to with the old son. A couple of notable quotes are ” We never outgrow Grace” and “We never move beyond Grace”.

Elder Dunn,
Your sermon “Beyond Grace” was a warning to all of us. Perhaps we are all guilty at times of being “The Older Brother.” Grace is great when we receive it, but not so good when others, who we feel are not worthy of it, receive it. Thank you for the reminder that we never outgrow our need for Grace. We sometimes forget that God sees our heart and what we are guilty of there.
We appreciate your coming to Conroe to speak to us. May God’s blessings be on you and your family. . .
