Doug Klopenstein’s sermon on “Here am I, send me” naturally focused on hearing the call of God and our response to it. Doug related several parts of his testimony and used many scriptures to explain his points. Some notable quotes were: “Are we a fan of Christ or followers?” and “How will we respond when God calls?”
Doug used the following scriptures: Is 1:18, Matt 11:28, Ec 1:2, 12:9-13, Eph 2:10, 1 Thes 4:7, 2 tim 1:9, 1 John 4:1-2, Ex 4:10-13, Luke 14, Is 6:1-8

Doug,
It was a pleasure to have you here to speak to us last Sabbath. Your sermon, “Here am I, Send Me”, presented a challenge to all of us. When we hear the call of the Master, we need to respond. Like you said, it may not come in the way that we are expecting it, but we need to be sensitive to that voice within us. I appreciated your personal testimonies. They brought out the examples of what our lives should consist of.
It was good to have you and your family with us. . . brought back many good memories! May God bless you and yours. Come back again soon.
Gladys
Thanks Gladys. It was great seeing everyone again and seeing how the Lord is working in the Church. May He watch over and keep you.
