John Arnold McCoy’s sermon on “The Superbowl of your Salvation” used the analogy of a professional football team and cast major Biblical characters as quarterbacks. Starting with Noah and Elijah, and Jesus, John Arnold kept score with God’s side keeping ahead. Running up to the final play of the series in Revelations, John Arnold reminded us that we needed to be committed to going out into the world and executing our assignments.

John,
I enjoyed your sermon last Sabbath. I don’t know much about football, but your explanation of the characteristics of the winners and losers was exciting to follow. One thing is certain! We know who has the winning team, and we also know that this is the team we want to play on. I am sure that this was a very special blessing for your Mom and Dad. I know we always are especially blessed when Jody speaks. There is just something about our boys!! We do appreciate Jeff’s giving us this opportunity to let you know that we were encouraged by your talk. I know it takes time to prepare, and we thank you. . .
