November 22nd, 2014 – Sermon on “The Mathematics of Christian Life” by Nathan Lawson

Nathan Lawson’s sermon on “The Mathematics of Christian Life” took 4 basic principals of math: division, subtraction, addition and multiplication and applied the scriptures appropriate to each principal as it relates to our life as Christians. Some notable quotes are: “Adding the things into our life that nathan2give us the beauty of Jesus’ character” and “If you are willing to do the subtraction, I (God) will provide the addition”.

Nathan used the following scriptures: 2 Cor. 5:10, Heb. 4:12, Heb. 12:1-2, Phil. 4:13, 2 Tim. 2:21, 2 Pt. 1:3-11, 2 Cor. 9:11

    You had an interesting sermon using “The Mathematics of Christian Life” as a basis. I liked the thought that if we will subtract the negatives from our lives, God will be more than willing to add the positive virtues. Too often, we are afraid to trust God with His desire to help us with His Spirit. The more that we trust Him, the more He can add good qualities to our lives.
