Paul Pedersen’s sermon on “Got Vision?” focused on how to accomplish goals by identifying methods to reach them and committing to working to accomplish the goal. Paul used the book of Ezra and the rebuilding of the temple to illustrate his point. Paul identified 5 points: 1. Hold onto the vision, 2. Fullfilling God’s vision takes hard work, 3. Get back up when you get knocked down, 4. Trust that God is at work with you , and 5. Do not pollute the vision when you get off course.
Some notable quotes are: “What is a vision? How do we get a vision?” and “Pray the God gives you a vision”
Paul used the following scriptures: Ezra: parts of chapters 1-5, Luke:6:27-28, parts of Luke 4, Ezra 10:1-4

Paul,
I enjoyed your sermon. It challenged us to get back up when we fall down. . . something we need to keep in mind because if we haven’t fallen yet, we will sometime. I think discouragement is one of the tools Satan uses on us.
Glad you and your family are here. We look forward to many happy times together. May God be very close to you as you get settled in your new home!

Paul,
I appreciate the sermon’s spiritual realism. I think a good sermon gives the hearers the means for improvement as well as inspiration.
Good to have you here.
