Paul Pedersen’s sermon on “Walking in Truth and Love” went to the basics of following Jesus. Paul used 2nd John as he spoke about loving God first and then loving our neighbor and enemy. Some quotes were: “As Christians we are to walk in truth and love”, “Jesus is our truth” and “We should be the example of Christ’s love to our family and friends”
Paul used the following scriptures: 2nd John 1:1-13, parts of Matt, John 4:21, Luke 6:27, Ps. 119:160

Paul,
The sermon was both very basic and very crucial. The simple sounding commands to love our neighbor as ourselves is simply impossible without God living in us to accomplish the loving. A good message.

Paul,
Combining Truth with Love was a good mix. Thanks for reminding us of the importance of both of these assets. A church without love is not very appealing, no matter how much truth the congregation has. I am glad that you reminded us of this great truth! As Jeff said, it sounds easy, but sometimes is difficult to put into practice. Looking forward to your leading us into deeper and deeper truths. With God’s Holy Spirit leading us, we can all look forward to a closer walk with Him. Glad you are here. . . May God bless you and your family!
Gladys
While my main focus was the message of love, the epistle plainly has a theme of both truth and love. Jesus is our truth!!! Gladys, thank you for your encouragement.
