Paul Pedersen’s sermon on “Going through the storm”focused on overcoming storms in life, Paul used Acts 27 as the main scriptural reference, using the Apostle Paul’s shipwreck as an example.
Pastor Pedersen describes the sermon as: When we are going through life’s storms, we need to look to God. We need to have his mind, heart, and courage in the storm. In other words, in our storms, we should seek to know the mind of God. We should diligently seek answers in His word and in prayer. In our storms, we should seek to have the heart of God. As Christians, do we become bitter and act in anger because of the storms? Or, do people see the love, joy, and peace of Christ in our hearts? In our storms, we should seek to put on the courage of God. Courage comes best by looking to God in our storms.
Notable quotes were “There are times when the storms of life roll in”, “We can have confidence in God that He is strong for us”, and “We need to have the courage of God”.
Paul used the following scriptures: Acts 27 parts, Gal 5:22-26, Mark 4:38-40, Joshua 1:9, 2 Cor. 12:0

Paul,
Thanks for your inspiring sermon regarding the storms of life, something we all go through as we pass through these waters. If we can hold tight to the Master’s hand, we can survive and even, perhaps, grow stronger. May we focus on the pleasant things in life rather than the storms! May God bless you and yours. . .
