November 21st, 2015 – Sermon on “The standing orders of the Gospel” by Paul Pedersen

Paul PedersenPaul Pedersen’s sermon on “The standing orders of the Gospel” brought out the practical living doctrine of the New Testament era. These he identifies as 1. rejoice always, 2. pray without ceasing, and 3. in everything give thanks.

Pastor Pedersen describes the sermon as: Constitution, Bylaws, Robert’s Rules: Some things we just follow despite feelings. Like the command of a military leader, (The Apostle) Paul delivers the unshakeable charge. In Thanks Living, we are to follow the standing orders of the gospel.

Paul used the following scriptures: 1 Thess. 5:16-17, Matt. 5:12, Rev. 21:4, Luke 18:1-8, 21:36, Eph. 6:18-19, Phil. 4:6, Ps. 95:2, 100:1-5

    Paul,

It is strange how we accept certain rules and regulations in our lives without question, but we fail to see that there are other more important things that we need in order to keep our lives in focus.

Thank you for reminding us of those things that we need to keep our lives in proper balance. It is amazing to me when I realize that those are the qualities that keep us happy. God is so Good!

May the Lord bless you and yours this Thanksgiving Day!

    Gladys
