Nathan Lawson’s sermon on “The Sword of the Spirit” challenged us to make a commitment to let the Sword be active in our lives in 2016. Nathan elaborated on how the Word in the Bible works in our lives to purify us. He used scriptures and hymns to illustrate.
Some notable quotes were: “It is up to us to use the Sword” and “only the Sword of the Spirit can make you more like God”
Nathan used the following scriptures: Eph. 4:22-24, 6:17, Heb. 4:12, James 1:21-22, Matt. 4:4, 2 Tim. 3:16-17

Nathan,
Thanks for remarkable sermon. The topic of the Sword of the Spirit is timeless and always appropriate. The fact that your voice was working was a fine thing. We take the Bible for granted many times, just think about the years between the apostolic era and the Gutenberg Bible in 1450 or so. There is no doubt that the Word of God was alive in the hearts of people through those years and was teaching and purifying them without a Bible. We are blessed.
