Paul Pedersen describes this sermon as: God wants our best. From all the tithe that was given to the Levites, God still wanted the Levites to give a tithe of the tithe to Aaron and the priests. Very specifically, God asked for the best portions. He wants our best gift and our best effort. Sometimes we do not feel like we have much to offer God. Sometimes we feel like the boy that gave Jesus some bread and fish. It wasn’t much, and it surely would not have fed everyone. Yet, some of the biggest things that God has done began with something small. Big or small, what can we offer God? We can offer him our time, energy, resources, passion, worship, etc. In Colossians, Paul says that in everything that we do, we are to do it heartily as to the Lord and not men. So, God desires our very best efforts to be dedicated to him. Let’s give God our best and let God do the rest.
Paul used the following scriptures: Numbers 18:29, 12, John 6:1-12, Colossians 3:22-24, 17, Philippians 4:13

Paul,
“Giving our best to the Master” is what this life is all about. When all is said and done, that is all that matters. This life is but a shadow of the beauty that is to come. What a blessing! We think of money when we think of giving, but there are lots of ways of giving, such as you stated. of. I appreciated being reminded of that fact. Sometimes it can be only a smile when someone is hurting. May you be blessed during this week. . . Blessings to your family, too.
