Pastor Paul describes the sermon as : Paul wrote to the Galatians that we should be free. In this message, I put this freedom into three categories: freedom from legalism, slavish fears, and sin. By legalism, I am referring to those that wished to be circumcised for religious reasons. These are those that obligated themselves to keep the whole law. According to Paul, they were cutting themselves off from Christ and falling from grace. As Christians, we need to see how Christ fulfilled much of the Law. Being free also means freedom from slavish fears. God wants our worship, and He wants us to have faith in Him and His Word. Yet, fear can hinder us from having faith or giving God our worship. We can become afraid of what others think about us. Yet, God’s Sprit naturally drives us towards a sense of spiritual freedom. Being free also means freedom from sin. Jesus died on the cross that we could be forgiven of our sins. This freedom is not so that we can do as we please. Rather, this liberty enables us to better live a holy life and to love others. This can be tough. However, Paul reminds us in Galatians, that God’s Spirit is there to help us. We can stand in this liberty by the power of God’s Holy Spirit.
Paul used the following scriptures: Galatians 5:1-7, 13-18; Romans 6:22-23

Paul,
Your sermon on Freedom was very good. The freedom that we experience in Christ is the Law of Liberty. When we realize what Jesus did to purchase our Freedom, we stand amazed and feel such overwhelming thankfulness. What a Savior!
Have a blessed trip. . . We will miss you. . .
