Jody McCoy’s sermon on “The battle for the Soul” is the fourth part in a four-part series. In this part Jody explained the difference between justice and Grace, and the difference between respect and Love. As with the other parts of the series, Jody went into fine detail explaining the concepts. A couple of phrases stand out: Humans are not good and any goodness is God in us, and We need to graduate from respect to Love.
Jody used the following scriptures: Matt. 5:43-46, Ex. 3:24, John 3:3.

Hey Jody,
Thanks for the four part series. I bet there was a 5th part in there somewhere. When I made the comment that the sermon was “finely ground”, please take it as a compliment. You need finely ground doctrine to build good foundations.
Jeff
Jody,
I really appreciated your talk. There was much to think about and use. I understand the amount of time each one of you spends on these sermons and feel very blessed by your amazing efforts to make our worship services special for us. Each part of the series built on the last one. There really is a battle going on in each of our lives. I especially enjoyed the last song, the one Dennis said that you chose.
Jeff has been a real blessing as he contributes to our ability to listen to the sermons we may miss, as well as our letting you hear from us. God bless both of you. . . Gladys (Mom)
