August 19, 2017- Sermon on “Commanded to Teach” by Paul Pedersen

Pastor Paul describes the sermon as: We are continuing in the book of Titus. Paul is addressing some things which are lacking in the church. In Titus 2, we are commanded to teach. Specifically, the older are to teach the younger. In this message, we will take a look at the instructors, the instructed, and the instructions. Today, I challenge you to ask God where you can be involved in the ministry of teaching, mentoring, and discipling.

Paul used the following scripture: Titus 2:1-6, 15; 1 Timothy 4:12; Proverbs 4:1; Luke 11:28; James 1:22

August 12, 2017 – Sermon on “A Good Church” by Paul Pedersen

Pastor Paul describes his sermon as: Paul sent Titus to Crete so the church there would not be lacking. Paul wrote to Titus to address the areas that the church was still lacking. As a church, we don’t want to be lacking anything. Paul’s instructions to Titus can be an encouragement for us today. Today, I want to focus on three good attributes for all churches to develop.

Paul used the following scriptures: 2 Timothy 3:5; Titus 1:10-16

Pastor Paul describes his sermon as: The message this Sabbath deals with a serious issue in our culture and in our churches: loneliness. It is an issue we all can understand. Jesus, himself, is able to relate to our struggles with loneliness. I want to answer two questions. What can I do when I feel alone? How can I love someone else who feels alone?

Paul used the following scriptures: Matt 8:2-3; 27:35, 38-39, 45-46; Luke 24:17-19; Heb 4:14-16; 13:5

Pastor Paul describes his sermon as: There are many reasons to have a bold faith. How do we lay a foundation of boldness in order to pray boldly and share our faith boldly? In our text today, Jesus is the reason given for our boldness. Because of Jesus, we can hold firmly to our faith, and we can approach God with boldness.
May mercy, peace, and love be multiplied to you.

Paul used the following scriptures: Hebrews 4:14-16; John 14:12; Mark 5:36

It is a Christ-Centered, Grace-Oriented, Sabbath-Celebrating Church. To be that church, it will mean putting the Body of Christ first. We need to put each other before ourselves. To be that church means using every opportunity to become that church. To be that church means making the choice to be that church.
