Paul describes the sermon as: The goal of love is for it to last. Love of God and others must learn to be patient and long-suffering. It is a love which bears the test of time. The book of James teaches us how to have that kind of love.

Paul describes the sermon as: Our words can build each other up or tear each other down. When we obey God by loving others, we will only use our words to build up. If we find it hard to encourage others with our words, then our heart is not right. Out of a heart full of God’s love will come words which encourage and build up.

Paul used the following scriptures: James 3:9-10; 4:11; Mt 15:11, 18; Eph 4:29; Ecc 5:2; Ps 89:1

Paul describes the sermon as: Today, we continue to discuss the topic of love from the book of James. Love of God and others requires us to put faith into action. Without living out our faith, our faith has no substance. James calls that kind of faith dead. Genuine Christianity puts faith into action.
Paul used the following scriptures: James 2: 14-23

July 20th, 2019 – Sermon on “Ready, Set, Go!“ by Paul Pedersen

Paul describes the sermon as: In this message, today, we continue with the theme of “El Shadday”. Last Sabbath, we saw the hand, shadow, and voice of the Almighty God. Today, we will see how the name “Almighty God” is used in reference to His judgment. God’s judgment is mighty. We should be “ready” and “set” for it.

Paul used the following scriptures: Gen 17:1-2; Joel 1:15; ]Th 5:2-11; Rev 1:8; 6:17; 16:14, 16; 21:22-23; 22:12, 14, 17

Paul describes the sermon as: God is almighty! God is all-mighty and all powerful. If  our faith could only grasp the smallest measure of this truth, our lives would be transformed. Today, we will look at scriptures showing the power of His hand, shadow, and voice. It is not a small thing to say that
God is almighty in my life.

Paul used the following scriptures: Gen 17:1-2; Rev 1:8; Ex 6:1-2; Ps 91:1-2, 14-15; Ps 29:3-8

Paul describes the sermon as: In scripture, we see great examples of forgiveness such as Christ Jesus and the Apostle Paul. Even on the cross, Jesus prayed, “Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do.” We are commanded by Jesus to forgive each other without limit. The Apostle Paul warned the church that unforgiveness invites Satan to take advantage of us. It is important that we develop a heart attitude of love and forgiveness.

Paul used the following scriptures: Luke 17:1-4; 2 Cor 2:7-11; Eph 4:26-32; Col 3:12-13

Paul describes the sermon as: The Bible is clear about what happens when we die and the effects of sin after we die. The judgement of God is a real thing. Yet, through Jesus Christ, we are granted eternal life. Those that repent, believe in Jesus, and follow His commands are promised to take part in the resurrection and be changed into immortality.

Paul used the following scriptures: Ps16:9-11, 18:4-8, Hosea 13:14, 1 Cor 15:3-4,22-24,51-55, Isaiah 52:1,7
