There was much “food for thought” in your sermon regarding our testimonies. I remember that Jody tried to get his Grandma and Grandpa McCoy, who were dedicated in their walk with God, to share their testimonies with all of us. They never did. . . probably out of shyness and reluctance to share their inner thoughts and feelings. However, your sermon made me aware of the value of sharing these things so that the next generations will have some understanding of our faith and the struggles God has brought us through. Through the years I have kept a journal which I plan to use in preparing my testimony for the children, grandchildren, and possibly more generations. Thanks for your inspiring sermon. Many of the congregation have commented to me that they enjoyed your sermon and were inspired by it. Thanks a lot for sharing your testimony with us!
Jeana really outdid herself on that social. We really did enjoy it. You are blessed to have Jeana. “You all” seem to have things under control, which is rare these days when so much is happening so fast!

We hope the suggestion for preserving testimonies takes root, what a resource that can be. Got to plant those seeds before the plant can grow though. I encourgage you to finish up your testimony, it seems like there is always tomorrow, but we know better.

Along with the scriptures you used, Deuteronomy 6 offers good support for the importance of verbal and written testimony.

Thanks for the comment John. I read Deut. 6 and think it is a bit optimistic to think this concept will reach the level of those Deut 6 addresses. I would settle for a general conciousness in the church at large that the older members need to record their thoughts and life changing experiences. Once that is started, I think, with a little reminding, the process will continue.
