Paul PedersenPaul Pedersen describes this sermon as:

In this message, I begin the sermon series, “All In.”  God does want just part of our heart.  He wants all of it.  In this message, I talk about giving God first place.  God required first things from the Jewish people:  first fruit; first born; first part of dough; tithe.  This required obedience, but not necessarily the heart.  God wants us to freely surrender ourselves to Him and give Him first place.  This includes our giving of tithe and offerings.  Giving to God is an act of trust in Him.  Bottom line:  Give God first place.

May mercy, peace, and love be multiplied to you.

Paul used the following scriptures: Exodus 34:18-22; Nehemiah 10:35-37; Proverbs 3:4-6; 1 Corinthians 15:20; Malachi 3:10; Hebrews 11:6

Paul PedersenPastor Paul Pedersen describes this sermon as: The glory of God brings change. It changes us into the very likeness of His glory. The glory of God sounds so impressive, but what is it? Moses asked to see God’s glory. God revealed to Moses His person and presence. In doing so, God also revealed to Moses His name and His nature. God is good, merciful, gracious, patient, and forgiving. Though we do not see God’s glory with our physical eyes, the Apostle Paul says that we can see God’s glory. And when we do, it transforms us into the likeness of His glory. God is very glorious indeed.

Paul used the following scriptures:Exodus 33:12-23; Ex. 34:5-9, 39; 2 Cor. 3:7-17, 1 Chron. 16:23-24; Psalm 19:1; John 14:16-17; Hebrews 11:6

Paul PedersenPaul Pedersen describes this sermon as: The following message is about our spiritual battle against Satan. The Apostle Paul declares that our real fight is not against each other, but against the devil. Yet, God did not leave us helpless. If we have a real relationship in Christ, we have his spiritual strength in us. We have his power and might. Then, and only then, can we really put on the armor of God to stand firm against the enemy.

Paul used the following scriptures: Eph. 6:10-12, Gen. 3:1, 4-6, Phil. 4:13, 2 Cor. 2:14, Rom. 8:37, 1 Cor. 15:57

Paul PedersenPaul Pedersen describes his sermon as follows: Can we count ourselves in the number of those marching to Zion? Are we a part of the Kingdom of heave? In the sermon Jesus preached on mountain, Jesus began to declare blessings to those that are a part of His Kingdom. The Kingdom of heaven and its blessings can have both a present and future fulfillment in our lives. In this message, I look at those that are a part of that Kingdom. Jesus expected something from both their inward character as well as their outward actions. I challenge us to examine our own personal character and actions. Does it line up with the teaching of Jesus? Those that are a part of the Kingdom of Heaven are tried in the fire and come out refined like gold.

Paul used the following scriptures: Matt. 4:23-25, Matt. 5:1-12, James 2:18, Psalms 117:1-2, John 15:20, 2 Cor. 4:7-9, Deut. 31:6

JohJohnCrispn’s sermon on “The folly of deceit” was aimed at exposing the foolishness of turning our backs on God. John used Israel’s attempt to evade the duty paid to the Assyrian king by soliciting the help of Egypt as an example. The scripture he used showed God’s contempt for Egypt and those that turned away from the Living God to them and others for help instead.

Notable quotes were: “Deceit never has a place in our relationship with God” and “It will always be true that deceit is a dead end”

John used the following scriptures: Isaiah 30:1-26, 2 Kings 17:1-6, Romans 2:4, Gal. 6:7, Acts 5:1-11, Ps.  32:2, 101:7, 139:23-24, 1 Pt. 2:22, Matt. 11:28-30

Paul PedersenPaul Pedersen’s sermon on “The standing orders of the Gospel” brought out the practical living doctrine of the New Testament era. These he identifies as 1. rejoice always, 2. pray without ceasing, and 3. in everything give thanks.

Pastor Pedersen describes the sermon as: Constitution, Bylaws, Robert’s Rules: Some things we just follow despite feelings. Like the command of a military leader, (The Apostle) Paul delivers the unshakeable charge. In Thanks Living, we are to follow the standing orders of the gospel.

Paul used the following scriptures: 1 Thess. 5:16-17, Matt. 5:12, Rev. 21:4, Luke 18:1-8, 21:36, Eph. 6:18-19, Phil. 4:6, Ps. 95:2, 100:1-5

Paul PedersenPaul Pedersen’s sermon on “The heart of a young child” focused on praising God and being humble before Him. Paul related personal experiences and anecdotes to illustrate living simply and humbly with integrity before God.

Pastor Paul describes the sermon as:   In Thanks Living, we need to have the heart of a young child.  Young children are not worried about how popular they are, or what kind of toys they have to play with.  When we were young, we had innocent desires.  Learning to be thankful means that we remember how to have humility, simplicity, and integrity.  We are to remove our pride and humble ourselves before God.  We are to guard against lust, and learn to have contentment with what God has given us.  We are to search our hearts, take captive every thought, and trust in the strength of God in our lives in overcoming temptations.   May mercy, peace, and love be multiplied to you.

Paul used the following scriptures:  Ps. 131:1-2, 1 Pt. 5:5-7, Titus 2:6-8, 3:1-2, James 4:1-6, Phil 4:11-13, 1 Tim 6:6-11, 17-19, Luke 4:1, Heb 4:15
